This fusion of bronze, copper, and sterling silver with its bold desert sun motif creates dangle earrings that produce a harmonious radiant shine, reflects the natural highlights off the curved surfaces and is a timeless fashion statement. Each individual component has been hand sawed from three different metals and welded together to form this unique design. The domed discs are from 22 gauge bronze, the sun's rays from 18 gauge copper and the sun from 18 gauge sterling silver. The copper rays and sterling silver sun were soldered to the bronze discs with an acetylene torch and hammered on a dapping block to produce the dome shape which gives intensity to the reflected lighting. The dark gray shadow effect around the rays was the result of carefully following the edges of the copper sun with a very fine torch tip to oxidize the bronze. As a final touch, the earrings were then polished to a satin finish.

The earring discs measure 1.5 inches (38mm) in diameter and hang approximately 2 inches from pure sterling silver hypoallergenic ear wires certified to contain no lead, nickel, or cadmium.
